and see. >> oakland city audit finds two city council memberses are live with the story. >> that is right. there are a number of details. the auditor accuses council members of interfering with the city administrative affairs. now, information was blurred because employees came forward in city hall. oakland mayor says some may see this as a black eye it seems things are working the way they're supposed to. oakland mayor kwan responded to a report released today that accuses counsel member read of breaking rules of the city charter. also accusation the auditor says they told city employees they should get a demolition contract for the army base. and putting people hand picked in key positions to run it. the mayor says the report says the city has a fair bidding process and that employees do not have to make order autos i'm concerned people understand that we're going to protect the processes being political interference. >> auditor says she and her feem were able to show instances of council members violating city charter. it's important to note that the audit does not make legal recommend
are following breaking news out of downtown oakland. police are investigating a fatal shooting. christien kafton is live for us. >> reporter: let me tell you this is a large crime scene. it's spread out over five blocks here in downtown oakland. right now alameda county coroners office is on scene here just about to load the victim into a van to remove him from this scene. there was a very expensive sports car just about seven or eight minutes ago that expensive sports car was towed out of the area. we have video of what the scene looked like earlier. police say they responded to the scene around 3:00 this morning and found the dead man in the street with numerous shell casings around him. and there is another scene just about a block away with more shell casings there and a half block away again that very expensive sports car. it looked like ans aton martin vintage. that sports car is certainly part of this investigation. we saw investigators looking over it with flashlight and trying to get a little bit more information about that. as mike said a couple moments ago, this shooting happened when

on a house in the oakland hills. it happened around 3:30 this morning on oakwood drive, the tree estimated to be 75 foot tall crashed down on the corner of the roof. the downed tree also brought traffic on oakwood drive to a stop. firefighters say they do not know what caused that tree to fall. >>> an investigation is underway into a crash involving a scooter and a santa clara county sheriffs patrol car. the accident happened before 12:30 this morning in the area of west heading street and the alameda. investigators are trying to determine if one of the drivers may have run a red light. two people on the it scooter were taken to the hospital but their injuries are not believed to be serious. the deputy in the patrol car was not hurt. the vehicle sustained damage to the right front bumper. a couple of san francisco police cars will be out of action after an unusual crash. officers were investigating an argument on the 4000 block of mission street. police say pickup truck sideswiped a patrol car, sending it into a second police car. witnesses say officers had to scramble to avoid getting hit
